NAYS will co-ordinate WP5 “Development of a National Program for Utilising FBPD: design and dimensioning of HAVB production lines”. Based on WP4 data and findings, a market survey will be carried out on the European, domestic and international markets to collect the necessary data (independent machines, existing turn-key production lines) and their cost. At the same time, the possibility of customized production lines by Greek manufacturers will be explored, which will be adapted to various individual units for functioning production lines in order to reduce costs. In cooperation with the engineers of CMFO, and the researchers from HCMR and NKUA-PHARM, the necessary techno-economic study will be carried out for each of the HAVB that can be produced. The compilation of all information and costs will be used to develop a business plan, which will be a National Program for the exploitation of FBPD. The business plan will clarify, with costing data, which products are worthwhile to produce, the number and geographical distribution of potential processing and production units and the cost of the transportation network and the methods to separate and maintain the raw material. The business plan will also examine the possibility of financing the investment plans through operational programs, as well as various scenarios and business development models for CMFO (eg private-public partnerships, long-term lease, own production, etc.). In addition, the possibility of creating small production lines for production of HAVB in small processing plants will be assessed. Within WP5, workshops and events will be organized to disseminate results, raise awareness and network interested stakeholders.
